It means our lives need not be static and that personal progress is possible. It means there is time to cultivate virtue and wisdom while living increasingly meaningful lives. But personal evolution doesn’t necessarily happen automatically. Deliberately seeking out formative experiences and absorbing an expansive set of ideas can be critical for fostering an insightful, as well as satisfying worldview.
